Philanthropic Service

The Lexington Alumnae Club actively demonstrates its commitment to philanthropy through a variety of impactful initiatives. In a recent highlight, the club successfully applied for and received a Pi Beta Phi Literacy Grant in October, securing $2,000 for The Carnegie Center. These funds were then utilized to purchase books through the First Book program, directly supporting literacy efforts in the community. Our club also maintains a long-standing relationship with The Nest, an organization we've supported since its inception in the 1970s. Our dedication to The Nest was evident through a book collection for Reindeer Express in November and December, followed by several alums volunteering their time at the event in December. Further support for The Nest included a donation to their Diaper Drive in February and the collection and delivery of toiletries for the women they serve in April and May. Expanding our reach, the Alumnae Club also partners with Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in December to adopt a child from the Family Care Center, fulfilling their wish list items. Looking ahead, our club will also be collecting cards in August and December for Military Missions, ensuring that care packages sent to our service members overseas include heartfelt messages of appreciation.
